Materials and methods: The study was carried out on 56 patients with confirmed cystic echinococcosis and 30 apparently healthy individuals living on Arak area by HLA-DRB1*& DQB1* typing with PCR-SSP method. The first step was founding patients and blood sampling .DNA was prepared from whole blood and we used PCR-SSP with 31 primer mixes for per sample . PCR reaction mixtures were loaded in agarose gels and after electrophoresis , geles were examine under UV illumination and gel document . Analyse of results carried out with specific software and frequency& interpretation tables and homogeneity test for calculation of P-value in χ2 test with fisher΄s exact test . significant samples with logistic regression analysed and Odds-ratio calculate . Results: A statistically significant positive association was found between HLA-DQB1*02 and the occurrence of cystic echinococcosis(P<0.05),(Odds-ratio=2.87) Conclusion: The most useful markers of HLA exists for the study of the relationship between genetical background and cystic echinococcosis with molecular high resolution methods.

Genotyping HLA-DRB1 and HLA-DQB1 alleles in Japanese patients with normal tension glaucoma
PURPOSE Normal tension glaucoma (NTG) is a subtype of glaucoma in which intraocular pressure is within the statistically normal range. NTG may be associated with an immune disorder. The aim of this study was to determine whether specific alleles in the human leukocyte antigen (HLA)-DRB1 and HLA-DQB1 genes correlated with NTG in Japanese patients. METHODS We genotyped the HLA-DRB1 and HLA-DQB1...
full textPyrosequence-based typing of alleles of the HLA-DQB1 gene.
DNA typing of alleles of the highly polymorphic HLA-DQBI gene was performed by Pyrosequencing using purified DNA from the 11th International Histocompatibility Workshop human cell lines and samples from the Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh registry of diabetics and their first-degree relatives. Pyrosequencing was optimized for genotyping exon 2 of the HLA-DQB1 gene, but the procedure should be...
full textTumour necrosis factor microsatellites and HLA-DRB1*, HLA-DQA1*, and HLA-DQB1* alleles in Peruvian patients with rheumatoid arthritis.
OBJECTIVE To study the association between rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and HLA and tumour necrosis factor (TNF) polymorphism in Peruvian mestizo patients in comparison with ethnically similar controls. METHODS Seventy nine patients with RA and 65 ethnically matched healthy controls were genotyped for HLA-DRB1, HLA-DQA1, HLA-DQB1, and TNFalpha and TNFbeta alleles using PCR amplification. Clinica...
full textHLA-DQB1 and HLA-DRB1 MHC Class-II Alleles and Breast Cancer in Jordanians
Cancer becomes one of the most wide-spreading diseases nowadays (Atoum et al., 2010), breast cancer is the most common female malignancy worldwide, and the second leading cause of cancer mortality among women (Downs-Holmes and Silverman, 2011) accounting for 23% of all cancers (Liang et al., 2008) with more than one million new patients are diagnosed annually (Watanabe et al., 2010). Globally i...
full textNo association between bronchial asthma and HLA-DRB1, -DQB1 alleles in the Slovak population.
109 patients (62 boys/men and 47 girls/women) suffering from bronchial asthma induced by pollen allergens were typed for HLA-DRB1 and -DQBl alleles, respectively, by a low resolution SSP technique. Frequencies of DRB1 alleles varied from 0.5 % to 16.1 %. The most frequent was HLA-DRB1*11 (16.1 %), the least frequent HLA-DRB1*09 (0.4 %). Occurrence rates of HLA-DQB1 alleles ranged from 2.3 % to ...
full textHLA class II profile and distribution of HLA-DRB1 and HLA-DQB1 alleles and haplotypes among Lebanese and Bahraini Arabs.
The gene frequencies of HLA class II alleles were studied in 95 healthy Lebanese Arab and 72 healthy Bahraini Arab subjects. Our aim was to establish the genetic relationship between Bahraini and Lebanese Arabs in terms of HLA class II gene and haplotype frequencies and to compare these results with frequencies for other countries with populations of Caucasian and non-Caucasian descent. Subject...
